Is Grace frustrating?

>> Friday, July 13, 2012

Its been really hard to get Internet, so the Morning Word will need to be on sabbatical till September. It may be sporadic at times but will definitely be in full swing in September.
I leave you with this...Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God, for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Finding Grace is a journey for most of us who have been brought up by the law. It is an unlearning process, and undoing, and it takes time to flush it all out of our systems.
One can say give God control, get out of God's way, we must learn to let God...but for many...the concept is inconceivable. Life as they know it, is them making things happen, and
trying to fix or figure it all out. Giving up control is not giving up, nor is it lazy. World view of what God asks of us is looked upon as weak or foolish.
the Biblical view of God's grace is allowing Him to supernaturally do in and through us what we couldn't do on our own. Simply put, the next time we feel incomplete, unaccepted, or incapable of moving forward...its a good time to start putting Grace in Place...
We are complete in Him...
We are accepted in the Beloved
He is ABLE
When we abandon ourselves and start to retrain the way we think, what we say, how we "feel"...according to the scriptures we will come to find it "WORKS."
No doubt abandoning our personal preconceived notions, perceptions, worldly wisdom and understanding is can we let go of all we thought we "knew" was right...only to find out it was all wrong?!!!! this is where we frustrate grace...trying to hold onto the "I's."
It truly is a rebirth...a death to self and all we once knew...and a birth to new concepts...illogical....upside down...backwards then what we have lived out in the past.
Today is a good day to start embracing Grace! Grace is obtained through Jesus Christ...the Father...and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Think you would like to add some grace in your day?!! :) Ask God to reveal the truth to you...He will start to see and identify through conviction in your spirit by "the" Spirit of where change is needed.
The worst thing you can say to someone who doesn't understand Grace is...You don't understand Grace or you aren't giving Grace...that is not Grace! People like to use a power trip as if they understand it themselves and obviously trying to point it out to someone is not what God is talking about. It frustrates them more. If someone says that to you and doesn't invest in your life to walk it out with you...walk away! Learning to live out Grace takes love and being intentional to really seek God and His Word...ask Him to reveal the truth to you and look for others that seem to have found it to love you through your journey of embracing it as well!
The Scriptures continue in Chapter 3 by saying why have you not obeyed the truth...for many of us...maybe we didn't have ears to hear, or our understanding was dull...we hadn't had that light bulb moment...don't get Jesus more...He is faithful and has not set us up to fail. We must not rely on our own understanding...but in all our ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct our paths, Amen!
Be encouraged, no matter how ungraced we are...God has ways to transform us that we couldn't even dream up! Let go of YOU...really...LET GO of it all! Raise your hands in Praise to God with your palms wide open, tell Him you hold onto nothing of your past and from this day forward only want to receive fresh revelations of His truth and Grace! Tell Him you desire to walk out Grace to glorify His name and bless others. God is ABLE...we just have to be ready to lay down our totally abandoned...that living He may have His way in us!
May we all get our mind and our heart on the same page...BELIEVE means to be fully persuaded...may we ask ourselves, "What do we truly believe?" Grace is more than unmerited favored... Grace is allowing God to supernaturally do that which we could not in and through us! I say supernaturally, because we all know how we can accomplish much naturally in our flesh...but what God does supernaturally lasts with power!
All this to say, there is FREEDOM IN GOD'S GRACE!! There is a new mindset that we can have it truly believes we are no longer under condemnation, that we can be fully confident in who we are in Christ, that we can love others dangerously, because He first loved us. Grace gives margin for error! We ALL walk in error, we are ever changing being conformed and transformed more into His image. But God doesn't see us like that, there are no errors in Jesus nor failures, but God working all things together for our good to those who are called and who love God. This same grace given to us...we must first learn how to receive it...then give it to others. If we spent just 1/2 the time we spend pointing our everyone Else's issues on examining ourselves...What a wonderful world this would be!!!
Today is a new day, immerse yourself in God's promises and know your position in Christ....BELIEVE THEM...and watch your life be TRANSFORMED BY HIS GRACE!

We are Blessed...

9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

10 The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

God spoke and IT WAS DONE…He commanded and IT STOOD FAST. There is no hesitation when God speaks. He stops people in their tracks. His counsel STANDS FOREVER….Blessed is the nation…Blessed are the people who He has chosen for His own inheritance… whose God is the Lord.

In Christ Jesus we have been given an inheritance! We are positioned by God and Highly favored because God is our Lord! We are in His thoughts and His heart!

When we look at ourselves from God’s view we are but a speck smaller than a Horton hears a who from

Whoville! In the grand scene of the universe our size doesn’t really matter does it! How can we not stand in AWE of the power and love of our God!? God loves us so much and desires to bless us,  that is so amazing.

Lord, help us on the days we feel so small and insignificant…to realize you have made us big in your sight!

With much love for the Brethren.

His Words have POWER!

>> Tuesday, July 3, 2012

5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

8 Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

The Lord loves goodness, fairness, purity, humility and what is right. He sets the standard for righteousness and judgment.

Can we imagine that the Lord spoke the universe into existence and there it was. The power of His Word, not only His actions, or the power of His strength with His mighty outstretched hands, but His Words have POWER! He heaped the water together to form bodies of water and he has stored up water in the clouds. Let all the earth fear the Lord.

He says let all of the inhabitants of the world…ALL stand in awe of Him. How can we not! However, for most of us the enlightening of our eyes and revelation of our understanding to His greatness and power didn’t come till after His Spirit of Truth woke us up!

Folks, there is power in God’s Words. We have not been given the spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind. Memorize God’s Words, hide them in your heart…in the day of trouble they will go out with Power against the spiritual battles we have. By His Word, His name, and His blood…we have all power over the enemy…Let us stand in AWE of HIM!
Let us stand in AWE of His wonderous works!

With much love for the Brethren.

Rejoice and Praise ....

>> Monday, July 2, 2012

Ps 33:1 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
2 Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
David is a man that many of us can admire and relate to. He is real and forthright with us and God. He doesn’t hide nor avoid issues at hand, he processes them out with God and by the end, he is always brought back to where he needs to be.
Rejoice in the Lord…your praise is beautiful …Who are the righteous? Who are the upright? It would be those who have placed their faith in Christ Jesus. It is beautiful for the family of God to rejoice and praise! For us to be upright, cleansing our hearts…confessing and honor God that we have rebelled or rejected Him in our daily living is what continues us in that uprightness. Jesus gave us our uprightness through His blood and then we daily should be examining our hearts to assure purity and humility on a daily basis. If not, it gets away from us, and we allow strongholds to take place and sin follows.
We can praise the Lord with a harp, sing with noise makers and instruments of strings. He encourages us to create new songs and play skillfully…which means to practice and make it excellent with a loud noise. David is encouraging us to be LOUD!!! He is encouraging us to be skillful musicians and artists.
David then says, the Word of the Lord is right. We shouldn’t have any doubts, the Lord’s Word is always right and it says ALL his works are done in truth. There is not anything God does that will go against His own Word, because He is right and truthfully.
This week, we are going to break down Psalms 33 as it ministers to our souls in a timely fashion.
Today, Lord please help show us the freedom we can worship and praise you…that our hearts should be clean and upright before you as we enter your gates with our praises. Lord if we come before you with our sin it is contrary to our praise. As we praise you, we give you honor, we acknowledge your greatness and your works in our lives. In sin, we are stubborn and desire to do things our own way and we are rejecting the truth of your Word. Help us to see, we can be very contradictory and a stumbling block to those who watch us. Most of all, remind us to humbly acknowledge our faults before you so we can enter your gates in sincerity and truth!!!
Everything God wants us to do for Him, He desires our best, our skill, to bring Him glory!
Ps. Lord….thank you that we can get loud and show excitement with our praises for YOU. How much more should we lift up our voices for you when so many of us do it for sporting events!!! You are the ultimate! You are the one we love and adore! Let us shout and sing…hoot and holler your praises!!
With much love for the Brethren

God does the work...

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (Hebrews 13:20-21 KJV)

Now the God of peace that has raised Jesus, is the great shepherd of us the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting (everlasting means ever...lasting, there is no end) covenant...

So here we see God's position...God of peace. His power...raised Jesus from the dead.  His promise...He sheperds us through the covenant of blood that has no ending.  His passion to make us perfect or complete in EVERY good work to do HIS WILL... God is going to make us complete, in every good work to do HIS will...are we seeing the same thing here??!!!

We continue His passion...He is working in us that which is wellpleasing in whose sight? HIS! How? Through Jesus Christ who is glory forever and ever.

What I see, read and proclaim is we can rest in truth! The God of peace wants us to understand His position, power, promise, and passion for us. It is this simple...

He is equipping us to do work according to HIS WILL that we would be well pleasing in His sight because of His son Jesus Christ.

Today, if we struggle with, "How am I ever going to get it right?" "Why am I constantly messing things up?" Remember our question from yesterday? How is that working for you? Are you ready to try something different? Are you tired of going through the motions day after day, only to find you arent any further than you were a month ago?

Suggestion! May we try this...Trust in God's position...Believe in His power and promise...and submit and obey to His passion for our lives. Let God do the work...sit back and enjoy the ride. So often, we "think" way too  much and try to "do" all the right things. God says, "He will do the work according to His will." Take it day by day. Let us start off by laying down our rights, giving God full reign to allow our day to unfold naturally. Dont get me wrong, we must be intentional to walk out obedience, but not lead it, let us follow after it. There is a difference, and it is amazing!

God certainly knows what He is doing. Can we try just for one day? If we are late, its OK, trust God...He could be sparing us from something. If we want to advance Jesus more...spend time with Him and ask Him to lead you. Sometimes we feel a great responsibility to "do" or "accomplish great works" in and of ourselves and we start to go on auto pilot forgetting we are not a one man show.

In just one day, asking God to lead you, you will see a difference. We can prepare and plan, BUT GOD is doing the perfecting and it is all for HIS glory...not ours. Amen!

With much love for the Brethren!
