Rejoice and Praise ....

>> Monday, July 2, 2012

GOOD MORNING!
Ps 33:1 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
2 Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
David is a man that many of us can admire and relate to. He is real and forthright with us and God. He doesn’t hide nor avoid issues at hand, he processes them out with God and by the end, he is always brought back to where he needs to be.
Rejoice in the Lord…your praise is beautiful …Who are the righteous? Who are the upright? It would be those who have placed their faith in Christ Jesus. It is beautiful for the family of God to rejoice and praise! For us to be upright, cleansing our hearts…confessing and honor God that we have rebelled or rejected Him in our daily living is what continues us in that uprightness. Jesus gave us our uprightness through His blood and then we daily should be examining our hearts to assure purity and humility on a daily basis. If not, it gets away from us, and we allow strongholds to take place and sin follows.
We can praise the Lord with a harp, sing with noise makers and instruments of strings. He encourages us to create new songs and play skillfully…which means to practice and make it excellent with a loud noise. David is encouraging us to be LOUD!!! He is encouraging us to be skillful musicians and artists.
David then says, the Word of the Lord is right. We shouldn’t have any doubts, the Lord’s Word is always right and it says ALL his works are done in truth. There is not anything God does that will go against His own Word, because He is right and truthfully.
This week, we are going to break down Psalms 33 as it ministers to our souls in a timely fashion.
Today, Lord please help show us the freedom we can worship and praise you…that our hearts should be clean and upright before you as we enter your gates with our praises. Lord if we come before you with our sin it is contrary to our praise. As we praise you, we give you honor, we acknowledge your greatness and your works in our lives. In sin, we are stubborn and desire to do things our own way and we are rejecting the truth of your Word. Help us to see, we can be very contradictory and a stumbling block to those who watch us. Most of all, remind us to humbly acknowledge our faults before you so we can enter your gates in sincerity and truth!!!
Everything God wants us to do for Him, He desires our best, our skill, to bring Him glory!
Ps. Lord….thank you that we can get loud and show excitement with our praises for YOU. How much more should we lift up our voices for you when so many of us do it for sporting events!!! You are the ultimate! You are the one we love and adore! Let us shout and sing…hoot and holler your praises!!
BE BLESSED, YOU ARE POSITIONED BY GOD AND HIGHLY FAVORED!
With much love for the Brethren
